Lucy: "I'm wishing for them to stay pretty because they are old.  I don't want the garbage man to take them away"....

May this wish come true. My wish is that they will live forever.

Lucy and I went to the 26th Annual Nostalgia Days Car Show in downtown Livermore yesterday.  We had a great time just us girls.  Stopped at Spanky's for a hot dog, Lourdes Ice Cream shop for a scoop, and left with a bag of popcorn to bring back for Dad.  The Show is done really well.  The Cars were great and all, but if I left with anything, it was the appreciation of the great music they played throughout the streets.  The music was more nostalgic for me than anything....Hope this oldie starts your week off well.  Although, I couldn't post this specific song without the clip from Jimmy Fallon with Jimmy Page so long ago....

I love this room. When Lucy leaves for preschool now - I find myself in here more than I'd like to admit.  Thankfully she loves it too!

Summer seems like it is dwindling away... Looking back - it's been a good one :)  Summer Swim was one of our highlights.  Kind of crazy to see how much Lucy and her bestie, Brooklynn have changed in one year.  I love these two coneheads.

I pulled these two pipe cleaners from Lucy's backpack after she came home from school.  She immediately put one on with excitement.  The other didn't make as much sense so I made a key chain for her out of it.  That's when I realized my mistake...

Lucy: "Mom! That's not a key chain! It's for the baby"!

Me: "Your baby? Baby"?

Lucy: "Nooo! Obi-wan Kenobi Mom...."

I stood there stunned...and soaked it all in.

She had a Great First Day of Preschool!

It's a Big Week.  First night in her Big Girl Bed.  Plus, off for her First day of Preschool.  I'm more proud than anything...

Photos of Lucy swimming this summer are slim...  She has a slight issue of disrobing.  Needless to say, skinny dipping has been quite the trend round here :)  Looking back a few months ago, Lucy was a bit hesitant to swim on her own. It took her a few weeks at swim lessons to get a belly and back float down.  Now, she is able to swim across our entire pool by herself, she fly's off the slide making a big splash, and her dives and pencil dives in are looking pretty promising.  It's so amazing what a difference one summer can make.  More photos to come of this summer in the pool - well, the few I have ;)
