I see the light.  Play has begun.  I see the near future... and I am in love.

I woke up to find we all crashed missing the second half of Willy Wonka.  I gotta say it felt good.  It was also at that moment I realized I was freezing. All I wanted was a blanket.  I just stared around the quiet room. Then I realized it's almost 5 o'clock and I have nothing for dinner.  All we had today was donuts and chocolate milk after church. 

We survived.

The day is always better when she [and I] gets dressed, and hair is combed. We need to get on this train more often!

She bartered for her first time.  As Queen of Manipulation & Negotiation...I knew she would be fine making the deal on her own.  And she did just that.  For the rest of the walk through, she sewed her heart out in the fort she made out of the stroller :)

I had plans to have a beer and some pizza with my parents one night in Milwaukee.  A new spot was chosen.  I arrived first.  Little did any of us know, it was a kid zone.  I searched for the bar (I don't even remember if there was one.  Which means if there was one, I sucked one down - and if there wasn't, I was in true hell).  When they finally showed, which seemed like forever (remember my parents didn't own a cell so communication was sit there and wait) I had the fear of death look on my face.  They quickly escorted me out of the twilight zone. The only way for me to describe the wait to them as we headed toward a well known bar joint was that I was one of the little aliens inside the claw in the Toy Story Movie.  Staring out.  The insanity! 

Well here I am today.  I'm living it.  An alien staring out.  Here she comes! Miss Lucy.....

Less than a month ago...and I think we may already need another.  The twisting and twirling of her hair while she sleeps has already done a number on it!

Mom (after washing lucy up): "Lucy, did you get into the cookie dough again"?

Lucy (chocolate covering her face with an attempted wipe): "Nooo..."

I'm pretty sure she will get her batter fix this Christmas.

Over a month later, and she is still talking about it...

Baby's due date has gone and passed.  Every day since feels like forever....we are just waiting......

We've been together a lot lately - at least it seems like that for the last 3 years... The past two weekends have been fun - Car Show then Air Show.  What else would 2 girls do?!  [I'm not sure she even looked up at the sky this time...] We definitely need a little boy in our life!

current obsession > i scream for ice cream

I'm pretty sure we have had ice cream everyday for the past 3 weeks (or popcorn of sorts)...I'm pretty sure we will continue for the next 4....

my lucy > opening disney

I never thought making a trip out to buy star wars toys for daddy could lead to Lucy opening the Disney store with her magical powers!

her words > not a key chain

I pulled these two pipe cleaners from Lucy's backpack after she came home from school.  She immediately put one on with excitement.  The other didn't make as much sense so I made a key chain for her out of it.  That's when I realized my mistake...

Lucy: "Mom! That's not a key chain! It's for the baby"!

Me: "Your baby? Baby"?

Lucy: "Nooo! Obi-wan Kenobi Mom...."

I stood there stunned...and soaked it all in.
