We are on day 2 of what looks like 10 days of forcasted rain.  Lucy's current obsession is making anyone play any one of her imaginary skits (ie. frozen, house, school, police officer, wizard of oz, etc...I even played our neighbor Joe as Lucy was their dog Annie) She tells you who you are, who she is - and go! Each act could last 20 seconds to 5 minutes before she re-does the same one with change of characters, or a complete sudden change of reenactments.  It's beginning to feel like a revolving record.  When I was staring out the window today playing Ana for the 500th time, this song came on.  I have found that I have memorized each of Lucy's skits - it's a bit like I'm sleep walking.....

Lucy and I went to the 26th Annual Nostalgia Days Car Show in downtown Livermore yesterday.  We had a great time just us girls.  Stopped at Spanky's for a hot dog, Lourdes Ice Cream shop for a scoop, and left with a bag of popcorn to bring back for Dad.  The Show is done really well.  The Cars were great and all, but if I left with anything, it was the appreciation of the great music they played throughout the streets.  The music was more nostalgic for me than anything....Hope this oldie starts your week off well.  Although, I couldn't post this specific song without the clip from Jimmy Fallon with Jimmy Page so long ago....

This is it! After a much needed relaxing weekend in Napa with girlfriends - I feel more than rejuvenated. Time to clear my mind and focus on RIGHT NOW.  Hope this gives you a boost to your week too!  I have a feeling this is going to be a pretty awesome week....

We just can't resist watching the Secret Life of Walter Mitty when it's on. All 3 of us somehow enter into it's trance.  It has such beautiful imagery and light, the music is hypnotizing, and the story is captivating.  I'm pretty sure it has 100% taken a spot in my top 3 favorite movies.  I forget what my other 2 are...(hmmm... American Beauty is one....and....hmph? I need to think this through).

Side note: We were supposed to get our windows put in today...and just got word they are pushing it back.  I don't know how much longer I can wait! This song kinda is pushing me through :) Enjoy!

Have you seen the movie Chef? Obsession is an understatement for me. The movie is super super cute, and the music is crazy good.  I have listened to entire soundtrack at least 3 times daily since my birthday night.  So yeah, go get a copy if you want to sing out loud, dance, and/or just feel good!  Have a Great Weekend!

We did a free trial "Discover Dance" at the Valley Dance Theatre this week.  I'm trying to decide what would be best for Lucy at this age (based on what's offered at 2.5 yrs).  It's close between gymnastics and dance.  Here is a cute clip of a short 'free dance' the kids did with the pom poms making the sound of rain.  I thought Lucy expressed herself oh so eloquently :)  With the Beauty of the Song chosen, I had to post.  It put me in a slight trance - kind of like being inside of a nostalgic home video at that exact moment.  This is the type of song I hear in my head...a perfect fit in the soundtrack of my life, or maybe my Lucy's...

[Side Note: If anyone has heard this song before please let me know from where...a movie soundtrack?  a wedding?  I feel like I've heard it before and it's driving me mad.  Maybe that's why I feel the nostalgia.  All I have found is that it is on "Baby Genius - Starry Night"....I know that's not where I heard it from...]
