I conquered this project - with the help of my awesome sister-in-law.  Sewing 101.  These two were the perfect kiddos to make them for!  Merry Christmas!!

Ahhh!!! I Need to finish my Christmas Shopping!!!! I want to relax, enjoy some holiday music with Lucy, drink some Bailey's, bake, and oh yeah....I still need to Decorate!!! Ahhhh!!!!!!

I'm so curious what type of hair Lucy will inherit?  The Garrett Curl?... After her baths it curls up so much!  But by the next day, it is stick strait (except for the odd single curl rat tail).  What I love the most is when the big curls show on the sides... I just want to bottle it up.

I was going through some photos this weekend and came across this from our camping trip in May. It was pretty cold I remember, but Lucy radiated heat in that tent. All the more reason to snuggle....

This time of year is really tough with Patrick working so much.  We missed him at Thanksgiving and wanted to make it up to him by making my all time favorite meal.  This was "the meal" asked specifically on all my birthdays growing up.  So this time, for him, Lucy and I got to it in the kitchen.  A feel good meal for dad :)  Ice cube trays not included...

A few things changed since 1989... Fresh mushrooms are used (closer to 1-2 cups) and more color is added with one green pepper and 1/2 a yellow pepper.  Feel free to add hot sauce on top of final product for some kick.  This just may be the easiest recipe ever....and it will always bring me back to the dinner table growing up.  Maybe it's not about the taste per say, as it is more about the memories.  Glad to make it for my Patrick.  

It's nights like this that make me happy.  Family time is the best time.

I want to wish everyone a happy thanksgiving ~ This year I am thankful for so many things.  The big move to California has given us a new perspective on life. So today I give thanks to family near and far, new friends and old friends still keeping in touch, helpful and friendly neighbors, warm weather, a maintenance free pool, and my hubby's incredibly handsome haircut! 

 

Oh, and for this little cutie pie who can turn a couple blocks into an hour long walk ~ xo
